Is it just me, or is Miller and Budweiser terrible?!
My Wife's cousin is from the U.S and he always buys a 6-pack of either whenever I see him ... I really can't get into it!

I gave him a Stella or 3 and he was legless! :D

Well, it seems to be the cool thing to hate Budweiser so I imagine a lot of people will agree with you.

But it has been responsible for probably 70% of my beer intake through my life. No, its not a great beer, but good beers cost good money and I never liked spending more than $1 per beer outside of a resturant or bar. I looked at each beer as being its own entity and not really fixed on some imaginary goodness chart. Budweiser is highly versitile, you can drink it anytime, after working out, with dinner, while watching tv, at noon, ect. While something like a Pale Ale you probably don't want to drink unless its at or after dinner.

In the States, where you buy the beer also has an affect on it. Some states only sell 3.2% alcohol beer while others sell regular that can be ~5% or slightly higher (for most). Light beers are usually in the 4.2-4.6% range. Some states it even matters where you buy them, in Colorado if you buy a case of Budweiser in a grocery store its 3.2%, but if you buy a case at a liquor store its 5.0%.

Anyone heard or tried that new beer that Sam Adams has out that is supposedly the strongest beer in the world? I forget the name of it right now for some reason.

Interesting if true. Interesting if not true.
However, anyone stuck on drinking budweiser probably ought to experiment in the many quality beers in the same or lower price range.
Budweiser is factory made beer, merely for people who are seeking an alcohol buzz, rather than those who desire an enjoyable beverage with a myriad of flavors.
A good beer can be savored. In all my many years, I have never met a Budweiser connoisseur. Perhaps you consider yourself the first. Perhaps you can describe the fine qualities of Budweiser.

I don't think he was really saying that Bud was a great beer. At least I didn't gather that.

I didn't say it was a great beer. Its like a utility beer that there really is no bad time to drink one. And when I said it was responsible for 70% of my beer intake that 30% is still more beer than most people should be allowed to drink :). I've drank plenty of microbrews, I've drank a fair bit of imports, I have a pretty good idea of the variety, flavors, ect out there.

Edit: Wanted to toss this pic in here.

I liked the Nile Special from Uganda when I was there. 500ML of strong beer at about 7.5%.

I also like Buddweiser or Bud Light. It was a spicy kick to it after you swallow, and it doesn't upset the stomach like some beers will do. I'm Canadian, but I can't stand Molsen or Labatt Blue.

I once was very fond of Molson Ice! I say once that is! lol

I drank Natural Ice for a weekend once, its pretty strong, like 6.2 or 6.5%? Taste isn't real good.

Well there must be a reason why Budweiser is the number one beer... Luckily there are over 700 beers to please us all. You might get kicked out of Canada, however.

That is easy! Its a cheap beer that all the rednecks here in the south love! :D Personally I get a headache if I drank just one!

Its more expensive than Natural Light, which is about 5x better than Bud Lite. Both by same company.

My favorite's are Negra Modelo, Dos Equis, green bottle, and Tecate, all from Mexico, not that I drink any of them that much anymore though. I'm one of those boobs who drinks Bud Lite most of the time. What the heck, you can get it anywhere.

Carling Black Label extra cold and Carlsberg Export extra cold are two of my favourite beers. I only drink in my local pubs and never at home.

I do not drink beer, but once a friend of my families came down, and when asked what kind of beer he wanted (on my mothers tab) he chose milwaukee's best. I found it kinda funny, he drank about a 6 pack a day of that stuff. Seemed like low quality redneck beer to me. Idk

Being from Wisconsin I am really surprised how noone has mentioned Miller products of any type. Miller is probably the most popular beer around here with Bud products taking a close second. I guess it is really popular cause it is made here, probably as Bud is made in Missouri and why it is so popular by SNGX1275.

If I had a beer to drink all day and all night it would probably be a case of Miller Highlife longnecks (bottles) it is a beer with decent flavor and isnt as heavy as most beer.

But it has to be from a bottle, beer from a can does not taiste good to me for some reason.

As SNGX has said, these beers are meant for anytime, they are light, watery and hit the spot on hot summer day without making you feel like you had a steak dinner as some of them full bodied ales can. And lets face it, they are a cheap buzz which most people are looking for anyways.

Also a quick question ? Do any of you weirdo's drink your beer warm ? Like go into a bar and ask for a "Nice Hot One" I heard that is heaven to some Eurpeans.

However I do enjoy a good beer that could make you forget life a sip at a time, that said.

Hacker-Pschorr Weis - A really awesome german beer served in litre bottles with a full body and great skunky taiste similar to Heinekin but a ton better is probably my favorite, if avaliable beer. They make a version you can buy in the super market but it is not the Weis brew and isnt as good.
