this one's beatiful...the upload speed surprised me though. I was thinking that with the download speed so slow I don't even wanna see it upload...but it wasn't too bad.

Mine is fast enough for me.

I'm not going to test, don't really see any point since the connections to and from my computers can be anywhere in the world. Downloading something from the US, playing multiplayer games on European servers, watching streaming media from Asia, ...

    DSL rated at 6 MB.

No, I have DSL. I called my ISP today to hassle them about the slow speed, and it turns out my phone line only supports 2674kbps MAX. So now I want cable... like NOBODY near me uses it so...

Goddamn, how much are you people paying for your internet?!? Cogeco, the best cable provider in my area, charges 70 CAD per month for their fastest home service (16Mb)... and 50 CAD per month for 10Mb...

I pay 399 DKK a month and my connection is rated at 8Mbit/s down and 512Kbit/s up, but I'm getting upgraded to 20Mbit/s down and 1Mbit/s up in a few days at the same price. (399 DKK = 70 USD)

kitty500cat If you live in New Zealand and can afford it broadband is ok. Our monopoly network (telecom) just unbundled the lines so we are experiencing better speeds now. Heres mine: (I live in New Zealand)

It might depend on my connection speed. It would be worse to live in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, in my third post.

Of course if I use speakeasy its a different number all the time, but close and Vonage is WAY off, telling me like 2.5 meg. down

I just wanted to resurrect this thread because A) I found it interesting to see how fast other people connect to TS, and B) to show off my new cable interwebz ;)
