When will AMD drop Bulldozer?

    When will Amd drop these Bulldozer Chips and go to a more serious gaming Chips they might be beast for multithreading exct but for a single thread performance... blehhhhhhh this goes only for gaming cause for the price/performance they still are good Just as the phenom remain the best in the market for performance/price 90$ for a chip which overclocks like a beauty and wont bottleneck the 7850 for me ;D

    I wonder if the rumor about AMD dropping the performance CPU division is true. I doubt it.

    Maybe. Maybe not. What isn't in dispute is that Steamroller and Excavator have slipped a year in the proposed timetable, and that Bulldozers chief architect jumped ship and now works for Samsung
    Samsung seems to be a favourite destination for AMD alumni lately.

    Noting the falling percentages of CPUs being sold by AMD and the corresponding rise of APUs, along with AMD's intention of using ARM based Opteron cores for server markets, it may get harder to justify the R&D expense of non-graphics incorporated CPUs in AMD's future.
