  1. Hello! I'm planning to buy a WD HDD 500GB or Higher, But I Just find out a difference on the mode That I can't really figured it out.

    This one:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073
It cost 109 has the same 7200rpm 16MB cache SATA 3.0 than this one

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136143
And this last one cost 144 plus S&H

My question is what's the difference between the SE and the RE Version?
I see same speed same cache same interface, so are the $40 bucks worth it or the best deal is the first one for 109 with free shipping?

The reviews says the SE is a little bit louder and I care a lot about the quietness of a HDD but so far all my HDD from WD are very quiet. So if any of you have some experiences you could share I would really appreciate your input. Thank you very much!

AFAIK RE models have 5 years of warranty.

Thanks, I see the SE have only 3 years, so all I'll be paying the 40 extra is for 2 more years of warranty? besides that I can't find any other differences.
