    Short move, or long?

Are ya movin sideways? At least up? As in out of that pool?

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Doubtless some of you have heard of it, so I won't bother with directions. Thing is, there is extremely little likelihood that anyone coming here would want to visit me, as I am old, and don't know any of those. Wouldn't remember what to do with 'em if I did know some.

I didn't catch this one, but it makes me laugh, since I work in Hillsboro. I know exactly what you are talking about. You need to be bilingual to receive good service in Hillsboro.

I live in Cambridge, Ontario. I can never find anyone that lives here though.

    Subservient:

I'm not too far away in Hamilton, that's about 30 minute drive for the rest of you. Remember this is Ontario which is larger then England and many of us commute/drive 60-70 minutes to work each day (one way!). My commute is from Hamilton to Oakville each day ( about 30-50 mins depending on the traffic and weather conditions) sigh.

Surabaya, Indonesia on the island of Java (mmmm coffee) right beside Bali. NO never heard of it!

For those in North America, have you seen the stupid Coke commercial with the Polar bear family coming across a group of singing/celebrating Penguins? Can ppl in the movie/TV industry be MORE stupid (not to mention Coke execs)? One species lives at the North Pole and the other mostly found at the South Pole. Could they be any farther apart!!!

The distance here are much shorter, alas the times are the same or longer.

It's always 30 - 35 deg. celcius (86 - 95 deg. fahrenheit) here all year long and I've never seen snow in my entire life. The mosquitos are buzzing all year long and it's always flooding in rainy season (oct - mar, or right about now...), but the most outrageous thing here is the internet fee (about US$ 410/month for a puny 384 kbps DSL)

    From Ironduke:
Yes, I visited a friend in Bishop Stouffer for a week, a few years back and he'd driver 1.5-2hrs each way to the British Telecom/Nortel site just north of London (can't remember the town name, might recogz it if I heard it again).

Commuting sucs, but $410US/month for internet wins the prize! :)

wow. we're paying $40/month for 6 mb/s cable inet (384 kb/s upload). and you get basic cable too. for an extra $20/month you can get high-def digital cable, comes with a dvr built into the tuner box. are all ISPs out there that expensive or is there only one?
well, i've always said that the politics and media in this country have gone to s***.

i know a guy that lives in roselle and drives to calumet city everyday for work, a good 50 miles (81 km) and he spends two hours on the expressway if he's lucky.
