Why Windows 8 tablets will beat Android

They need to get the price 'just right' IMO, and if they get UI right it may mean end of road for Android tablets.

Yup. The pricing aspect is the icing on the cake. The biggest hurdle with uptake is getting past the consumers' fear of the new. For the majority of people, familiarity = comfort....and Windows is at the very least, a very familiar part of most tech users lives.

I can bet you won't be getting a Win8 tablet for a 200 bucks :)
They'll spend alot for marketing and the hardware will be top-notch for sure, i'd say the price will be around iPad's pricing, and that'll make the sale of a Win8 tablet, well, difficult.

There will be a large amount of fragmentation in the x86 vs ARM platform capabilities of Windows 8. In other words, applications that run on a desktop version of Windows 8 will not run on a Metro only ARM tablet. This will be frustrating to users who don't understand the reasons for this. Even more frustrating when their friend has an x86 tablet which will run them.
