I am at school and don't have time to read it. So what does it say? Is the i5 2500k worth 15 Euros more than the Phenom II x6 1100T? And wouldn't I have to get a different motherboard for the intel CPUs?
Can you get hold of a copy of PC Pro for June 2011 - there is a comparison chart of all the CPUs from Intel and AMD in it = there is also a brief analysis on http://http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/processors which also backs me up!
Anything from Asus in my book - but tell us what chip you have chosen first and perhaps how much memory you want and what graphics set up you are considering. And that's just for starters... Ed - well maybe Gigabyte as well if you insist.
Chip? The intel i5 2500k CPU cooler = CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series H50 Case = CoolerMaster Dominator CM 690 Lite II Black
what about the Asus P8P67 Pro R3 P67 Socket 1155 8 Channel HD Audio ATX Motherboard? If you are in UK you could get it from Ebuyer on http://www.ebuyer.com/product/260185
I live in Slovakia. These websites are the ones I can use: www.agem.sk www.alza.sk Will the ASUS P8P67-M PRO (rev 3.0) be capable of handling the mentioned 8 GB ram?
Is the cooler that comes with the processor good enough or should I get the mentioned cooler? It does cost 68 Euros. Is it worth it?
No, I don't think I plan overclocking with the Corsair CX 600. It will have enough just running my system. I did some adjustments to my planned rig: CPU Cooler: Maybe none, using the stock cooler GPU: MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC HDD: SAMSUNG SpinPoint EcoGreen F2 1500GB EDIT: what does it mean, API: Microsoft DirectX 10 on the i5 2500k processor?
What about unlocking the 6970 with the 6950? How does that work? Would I need to get a bigger PSU for unlocking? Are there any risks?
