Solved Win32/Heur

Hey!

AVG found a virus called Win32/Heur a little while ago. I quarantined it, updated MalwareBytes, and scanned. It found two bits of Malware (AdAware.Hotkey or something) and deleted them. I'm scanning with AVG now. It's been going for about an hour and still hasn't found anything, but I'm not convinced, as my research tells me that Win32/Heur can't be gotten rid of that easily.

This is my first computer and my first virus, so I'm admittedly rather upset.

Edit: A friend just informed that he'd had NO$GBA (the program that triggered the initial response from AVG) cause the same response from AVG, so, on top of the fact that my computer is showing absolutely no signs of any sort of infection and some Googling has revealed that the program in question causes the Win32/Heur response with a lot of people, I'm fairly certain that this is a false positive.

Am I golden, you think?

Your computer is clean

1. We need to reset system restore to prevent your computer from being accidentally reinfected by using some old restore point(s). We'll create fresh, clean restore point, using following OTL script:

4. If any Trojan was listed among your infection(s), make sure, you change all of your on-line important passwords (bank account(s), secured web sites, etc.) immediately!

5. Download, and install WOT (Web OF Trust): http://www.mywot.com/. It'll warn you (in most cases) about dangerous web sites.

6. Run Malwarebytes "Quick scan" once in a while to assure safety of your computer.

7. Run Temporary File Cleaner (TFC) weekly.

8. Download and install Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI): https://www.techspot.com/downloads/4898-secunia-personal-software-inspector-psi.html. The Secunia PSI is a FREE security tool designed to detect vulnerable and out-dated programs and plug-ins which expose your PC to attacks. Run it weekly.

9. (optional) If you want to keep all your programs up to date, download and install FileHippo Update Checker.
The Update Checker will scan your computer for installed software, check the versions and then send this information to FileHippo.com to see if there are any newer releases.

Well, when I reboot my computer it takes an unusually long time for my desktop to come up when I log in. Ten or fifteen seconds typically.

I think I need to make sure all my drivers are up to date.
