Hi guys, I just want to introduce myself, I'm Stu and I've just joined this forum because it seems to be the best and most helpful forum for people who aren't massively technical. I know my way around a computer but I'm not hugely skilled.
Okay so for my problem. I'm currently using my girlfriend's family PC and her mother knows nothing about PCs and it seems she managed to download something containing the virus mentioned in the Thread Title. The PC is essential to them for college work and other things. I know there have been solutions on this forum before because I've read through them but then read the thread saying not to follow those instructions as they are machine specific. If anybody can help I would be eternally grateful.
Bit of technical info:
  • They are running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit Service Pack 2.
  • They were running Avast but it was doing nothing to help. So I installed ESET Smart Security 5 and I've had remarkable results before with this software. However, this is not helping either.
If you need to know anything else. Just say.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome aboard
