Inactive win32/sirefef.ND removal need help

So I turned on my computer this morning and received a msg from my antivirus software that I have a win32/sirefef.ND trojan virus. it keeps telling me that its been detected and quarantined. yet the computer is still not operating properly. I am running a Dell D620 with windows XP. any thoughts or suggestions?

Make sure, you PASTE all logs. If some log exceeds 50,000 characters post limit, split it between couple of replies.
Attached logs won't be reviewed.

Please, observe following rules:
  • Read all of my instructions very carefully. Your mistakes during cleaning process may have very serious consequences, like unbootable computer.

Thank you very much for your quick response. Since my first post, it was determined that I had a number of malware programs on the laptop as well. One of which was the fake "system restore" program. I have since removed this and from what I can tell removed all the malware from the PC as well. I am currently scanning the PC via total defense to see if the win32/sirefef virus is still present. if it is not detected, can I assume Im safe? or should I still continue with your directions?

Sirefef is a very serious infection.
I suggest you continue with my previous reply.
