Windows Live Movie Maker crashing on startup

  1. The problem I'm having is when I open Windows Live Movie Maker it almost immediately pops up with a message saying it has stopped working. Any help would be appreciated. I also have some extra info to help find a solution:

    my system is:

    Amd Phenom II x4 @ 3.0 Ghz

    8 GB ram

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Ati radeon HD 5770 crossfire

    1800 GB of hard drive space.

    Have you got Voxware codecs pack installed, if so rename the file msms001.vwp and it should stop crashing.

    Please post back if this works or if you don't have Voxware or cannot find the file.
