Hello, I have got a really bothering problem, which causes my system to crash all the time and I cannot figure out whats wrong here, so I hope someone here will be able to help me out, please.

When it happens first of all, the image freezes, but not only freeze, it somehow gets "cut" into horizontal stipes and the froozen image gets more or less mixed up so u cant really see anything but the stripes with some blurry content and a few secounds later the screen turns black and then I get the blue screen after which my computer restarts.. or at least trys to, but usually fails.
then I have to wait and try again to start my computer.. sometimes it works and sometimes the pc just stops/freezes.

If the computer manages to boot I get this message:

0x3B = SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

The SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION bug check has a value of 0x0000003B. This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.

Cause
This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

You need to boot into safe mode; completely remove/uninstall your graphic/display drivers; download the latest version of the drivers and install them.

So this actually means that all i have to do is boot into safe mod and uninstall my "ATI" driver and install the newest?
Or is there more to uninstall?

Well, first of all thank you for trying to help me!

I did what you told me to do, i uninstalled the ATI (graphic/display) drivers and cleared them additionally with "driver sweeper" in safe mode and then installed the latest Windows Vista 64 bit driver, but as i started a game and played for like 5 minutes the system crashed again, but this time i didn't see a blue screen, the picture just freezed and i wasnt able to boot again, now (the next day) i am able to boot, but since i didnt change anything i'm not even trying to go in-game again since i guess my system is going to crash again, any idea whats wrong if not the graphics driver?

Can you please give me full specs of your system?
which games you play?
in which games system hangs or crashes?

Lastly; go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, and carefully examine your system logs; and see whether something useful has been logged, if so please give me few details about it including Event ID. Regards

Well.. i mentioned my hardware and the os at the first post, what exactly do you mean with "full specs of my system"??

Im actually playing Counterstrike Source only.. and there are no laggs or somthing like that.. it just crashes/freezes after a few minutes of playing
(it worked before)

Found something but its german.. i translated it with google so im sry for any misstakes:
Problem caused by: Device Driver

This message appears because a device driver installed on your computer has a malfunction caused the Windows operating system. This type of error is called "STOP error means. In the event a STOP error is to reboot the computer.

Also found something about the game

Half-Life 2 game engine will not run properly.
(half-life2game engine = counterstrike source) the system recomments to deinstall it..

One more thing:
Download the drivers for power management system download and install it.
For power management system is missing a driver.
Follow these steps to resolve this issue:..

(The model name of power management system is ASUS Cool 'n' Quiet.)

i guess im going to download and install that now..
------------

Well i never actually used the Event Viewer.. could you tell me what i have to look for as i run it? Because if i look at administrative events for example there are only errors, warnings and criticals..

thats in administrative events from 9.2 - 12.2 (translated with google since a few things were german as my system language is german) :

Allright my GPU is at 48°C at the moment but the fanspeed is only at 44%.. would be interessting to see its temp when i start the game, but i think my pc would crash again.. and its kinda hard to get it booted again once it crashed..
And the fact that it's at 48°C now doesnt say that its not the problem.. since i dont know the ingame gpu temp and right now i have no problems as long as i stay out of the game..
a friend of mine said that the problem might be dust.. well i havent cleaned the computer yet since its only like 5 months old.. so do u think that really might be the problem? because if so im going to buy a can of compressed air as soon as shops open..

If the event occurred on a different computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was stored with the event:

WORM/Kido.IH.54
I: \ autorun.inf

(I allready uninstalled this programm because thats what the bluescreen adviced (had i different bluescreen then))
(1st bluescreen
(2nd Bluescreen)

You can download PC Wizard 2010 and check your GPU temperatures.

I will go through your posts shortly and will let you know if something useful info can be derived from these.

Edit:
You can service your computer; but I think you may try to have GPU fan's speed ramped up and play game(s) to see whether it helps.

Well i have set my fanspeed to 80% which is quiet loud but gets my gpu down to 32-42°C (deppending whether i got my window open or not)
As i ran the 3DMark Vantage all was stable till i got to the part which says "Warming-Up" (picture) after like 30 sec my pc crashed the same way as allways.. but i got a different blue screen and a different BCCode:
BCCode: d1
BCP1: 0000000000000208
BCP2: 000000000000000A
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: FFFFFA600682398E
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

The Bluescreen (sorry for the bad quality.. had only a few secounds to take the picture since it doesnt work for that kind of crash to make the blue screen stay.. it actually doesnt even show the bluescreen if i try to make it stay)

EventViewer gives me only one error at the time of the crash (system tab):

Log Name: System
Source: Service Control Manager
Event ID: 7026
Level: Error
Description:
The following boot-load or system-start driver failed:
SRTSP
SRTSPX

That is an symantec process; hmm thats interesting .... I wonder how many times I come across problems which also include a puzzle about Norton AV. Well, I think it would he good idea to unintall symantec (you may need to totally remove it from your system by downloading removal tool from their site), and perhaps install Avira or Avast (which ever you may prefer) as your AV.

Alright removed everything with the symantec removal tool, restartet my pc.
I just did a Registry scann, because my rundll32.exe doesnt work anymore after the removal of the symantec software and as i read trough problems with this file i just followed the advices there.. actually this scann found almost 300 registry errors which is quiet a lot i suppose.. well i had this programm fix those errors, now im going to defragment my registry as well and then try again to go ingame..

Alright please keep things updated, I hope you have created a restore point as a precaution; and good luck

Okay.. I really thought it might be stable again.. but as I gave my computer rest over the night and tried to start it the next day it canceled the booting and told me that something is wrong with the tcpip.sys file.
I restarted, at the first restart I just got a blackscreen, at the second one I got a bluescreen and somehow my computer booted at the third restart, I got the following Problem:
BCCode: 1a
BCP1: 0000000000005003
BCP2: FFFFF70001080000
BCP3: 00000000000007E1
BCP4: 000007F400000BC2
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1 (<-- Which product that??)

I attached the minidump file.

There can be two issues which may be at play here:

1. A Faulty RAM Module, to check this out you need to run MEMTEST. Let it run at least 8 passes so if there is issue with RAM it has ample time to catch it
2. Also you have an onboard VGA, it will be good idea to take out your graphic card and use that onboard vga; to see what happens. There is a probability that graphic card's memory may have some issues as well.
3. The problem can occur under load as the system needs to push more power to the various hardware elements of a PC, such as Graphic Card, HDD and RAM. Now, if your PSU is qualitatively poor, inadequate, or have degraded overtime, it can cause this to happen as well.

So you are saying its 100% a hardware problem? And either my memory or my graphic card or my psu are corrupt?
Well i'll run memtest.
But my onboard vga somehow doesn't work.. although i've installed all the mainboard components..

If my 550W PSU can't manage to supply all of my system elements the way they would need to be supplyed, how come it didnt crash before.. the computer ran just fine for 5 months..

And if its one of those things, why do i allways get diffrent Bluescreens / BCCode's?

Just crashed again --> BCCode: d1
BCP1: 0000000000000008
BCP2: 0000000000000002
BCP3: 0000000000000001
BCP4: FFFFFA6000EADA98
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

-Edit/ADD:
Shouldn't the part which says "Product: 256_1" tell us which is the faulty Hardware?

What is the make/model of your PSU?

And please upload your latest minidump with next post for review.

Hm.. Just realized that I've got 500W and not 550..

Ikonik Gaia 500 (model: ip-g500a-cbaa)

latest minidump is attached.

At full load I think that GPU you can push your system's power consumption to near limit of that PSU's efficiency rating i.e. 80+%.

However, before taking on the PSU, I think you shall first run memtest as i earlier proposed. Also, if your onboard vga don't want to wake up, get one from some where borrow it or buy some very cheap one from perhaps ebay (you can find used ones there i think).

Your last dump points to a driver 'refusing to being handled' hence the error code DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL with error code 0x000000d1. You can check this as well, by checking which drivers you have recently upgraded.

To determine what driver is causing the problem I need you to enable driver verifier.

Steps:
1) Windows Key + R (or Click on Start & Run)
2) Type in 'verifier' and hit enter
3) Make sure 'Create Standard Setting' is selected and hit next
4) Click on 'Select all drivers installed on this computer' and hit Finish
5) Reboot

There is a possibility that your computer will crash on reboot. If this occurs hit F8 when rebooting just before the windows logo screen and select the safe mode boot option. Follow the same steps above but on step 4 choose 'Select driver names from a list'; hit next; check the box next to any driver where the provider is not Microsoft; hit Finish; reboot.

This will slow the performance of you computer a little while enabled but will hopefully catch the driver causing corruption. Next time you crash the blue screen will hopefully say something like "DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION". When this occurs please repost your minidump.

Alright did exactly what you said and actually everything happened as u said.. after the first reboot I crashed, then I booted into safe mode, started verifier again, checked all the boxes next to non microsoft drivers (got 8 non microsoft drivers), rebooted, started the game and crashed, but the bluescreen didnt say something like "DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION" I got again "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_Equal " but heres more detail:
BCCode: a
BCP1: 0000000000000000
BCP2: 0000000000000002
BCP3: 0000000000000001
BCP4: FFFFF80001AB598C
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

While digging around I came across this update from micrsoft for stop error 0x0000000a on Vista x64. It may or may not help. As I am suspecting this seems more to be a hardware issue; as this crash dump is not showing any linkage with a specific driver. So, I will again advise you to check your memory, put it under stress testing with memtest; if you have two DIMMs do it by taking one out at a time.
