Windows XP Pro failed to install correct how do I reformat new hard drive

    windows xp pro failed to install correctly. How do I reformat new hard drive so I can start over?

    Whenever you reinstall XP you get the opportunity to reformat the harddrive.

    On the 4th blue screenshot when presented with your harddrive (partition) press "D" to delete the current partition, the harddrive then becomes "unpartitioned space" then press "C" to create the new partition- specify a partition size, or the whole drive, then highlight the 3rd option (as in the screenshot) "Format the partition using the NTFS file system"- depending on the Harddrive size it might take a while. Once it's finished you're formatted and you continue the install.
