Windows XP SP1 Virus

    i had this virus about 3-4 years ago but now again it started from nowhere.

    I just installed xp SP 1 yesterday and today while i was browsing a dialog box came which had writings about RPC (blah blah) and that my computer will restart in 1 mins. This timer doesn't go. After a minute, everything goes off.


    Wat can I do guys>?>

    Lack of information prevents an detailed reply. However, RPC is the Remote Procedure Call, A Service found in the Administrative Tools in the Control Panel.

    Almost all other services and processes depend on this Services running.

    Your 'blah, blah' tells me nothing. However to check this Service:
    Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Services> right click on RPC> Properties> set start to Automatic> Start the Service.
