I have a Inspiron 1520 with a Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN mini Card. Lately I noticed that if I left the laptop on (or maybe just restart, not sure, don't want to test it right now) and let it go to sleep and then turn it back on, it won't detect any wireless networks. I have to wait 10-15 minutes before it can detect networks again, I don't know what to do. I know its not the router, since it can't detect other networks either which there are a few around. I have this laptop for almost a year now. It worked just fine till recently. I think it is the network card, the driver or the hardware, I don't know, but while it just start up, it takes forever for the wireless to start detecting again. Anyone know why and what can I do about it. (BTW, I reformatted in hope it will fix it, it didn't).
