    Don't worry, you aren't hijacking anything :)

I'll post back when I get the X850XT, and install the silencer.

    See you around!

Heh, these days (a bit cooler than in the summer) it idles around 33-34C, and under full load goes to max at 52 (that is, if I'm in a hot scene in FEAR and press "Quit" and immediately look at my temp sensor in the system tray)... How much does yours go to under full load (FEAR, FarCry, etc.)?

Btw, I am amazed it can handle widescreen (16:10)... Everything had to go from high to medium-high though, but then again that isnt much of a problem.

When idling I can barely hear it, and when playing a game I can't hear it either (headphones on)....

EDIT: But then again, I have an efficient cooling system. My mother PCI-E x16 slot is down a the bottom with 2 PCI slots below it. I have a fan right in front of the pc, about the same height as the card is. Since the card sucks air from the front of the case, it sucks in directly the air that just came from the front fan (which has a filter for dust). That is, the card uses fresh and cold air and exhaust it directly to the back. I also have 2 fans on the side of the case that blow directly on the card from the side, which keeps it even cooler (and my mobo went from 42-45C to 30C). Then, one of the side fans blows directly on the CPU fan, which blows on the CPU heatsink, which's air gets sucked out into the outside by the fan right next to the CPU... So to sum it up, all my parts have seperate air sources so that they get cold air (and not hot "reused" air) and directly exhaust it later.

On not-so intense game, full load is 48C, intense scens in FEAR(I use 1 min Flash OSD to monitor it in-game, it's around 51C peak(max of 52 but it's never flashed 52 afaik).

I love this thing! And yeah, in the heat I'd expect it to idle a few C higher, but still this is quite an amazing cooler.

@wolfram, I hope you get it soon. I love this card a lot more now that the annoying stock cooler is GONE!

Today I've got it :) It's beautiful, large, fantastic.

    I finally sold the X800GTO!

And I have ordered the X850XT a few days ago, and should arrive soon.

I'll post back when I get it :)

BTW, I hope Howard doesn't close this thread. I think this is a little off topic, because the X800GTO was no longer artifacting, and I don't even have it anymore :p

    Finally got it!!

Today, I finally got my X850XT PE. It works great. Very fast card, handled BF2 at highest setting without a problem. Too much GPU power :)

I now have to change the stock cooler, is UNBELIEVABLE LOUD @ 100%. I'll mount the silencer, and I'll post back some pics.
Now I have to format my PC, and it's gonna take a WHILE

I'll later send you those 3Dmark scores. It's gonna take a while... I still haven't finished to install everything :)

Here I have some pics of the card (sorry for the fuzzy and dark pics, I'm not a professional photographer hehe :p)

I couldn't continue in the above post, but here they are:

Here you can see my modded chipset fan hehe.

And the last foto, a close up of my card, and you can see my front USB cable mod hehe.

It doesn't look pretty, but it works! I almost couldn't connect it, because the Silencer is so huge!

BTW, do you think that I can install a sound card on the last PCI slot?

Yes, but you'd probably have to shove that wire off the slot ;)

It'd be a tight fit, but sound cards are generally small so it should be fine.

Yeah, I will have to eliminate that ugly wire, and get an external USB Hub, but that's not a problem. I've thinking about getting a Creative Audigy 4 sound card. I hope it can fit. I don't know how big it is...
