rowy, sorry I haven't stepped in for awhile; Bobbye knows considerably more about a greatr number of things than I do. I noticed that one of the last -- if not the last -- errors is 0x8E. Did you test for corrupted memory anywhere in the process?

No Route I did not. I ended up taking the thing apart for parts. then jus for the hell of learning I cleaned everything from MB to fans etc and put it all back together.

I fired it up and browesed the net endlessly with no issues, then I played C&C zero hour for about 2hours before the game froze. This time though i was able to alt tab out of the game and replay. So to answer your question, memory was not tested nor was my vid card. I do not no how to test either of them. =/

Okay, here is how you test you memory:

See the link below and follow the instructions. There is a newer version than is listed but either one should work. If you need to see what the Memtest screen looks like go to reply #21. The third screen is the Memtest screen.

Once you have a CD with the Memtest ISO file burned then you place the CD in your PC and then boot up. The test will immediately kick in and take over.

Let it run for a LONG time. The rule is a minimum of 7 Passes; the more Passes after 7 so much the better. There are 8 individual tests per Pass. Many people will start this test before going to bed and check it the next day.

If you have errors you have corrupted memory and it needs to be replaced.

Also, with errors you need to run this test per stick of RAM. Take out one and run the test. Then take that one out and put the other in and run the test. If you start getting errors before 7 Passes you know that stick is corrupted and you don’t need to run the test any further on that stick.

To test your video memory download the Video memory Stress Test from MajorGeeks.com. This safe and free: http://majorgeeks.com/Video_Memory_Stress_Test__d5896.html

Ok Route, I did as you asked and ran both tests. The ram tested fine with 8 passes no errors.
The vid card however froze during the test, I could not get out of that screen and had to reboot my pc and it did not show any errors before I rebooted. I ran the test again and it ran all the way through with no issues or errors.
Although this did come up:( Trying 16 bpp BGR: 565 mode...not supported code ( 88760091 ) ) It showed no errors either.
    Any more Ideas ?
