    hm ... Earlier this year I fixed a friend's machine with this symptom and it turned out to be a browser add-on.

    If you're using Firefox, then
    • open up the "Tools" menu
    • click on "Add-ons".
    • Post what is listed under the "Extensions" and "Plugins" tabs.


    If you're using IE, then
    • open up the "Tools" menu
    • click on "Manage Add-ons".
    • Post the name and publisher of each add-on.

    If one of the names seems odd, then go ahead and see if it is listed as one of your system's installed programs.
