hm ... Earlier this year I fixed a friend's machine with this symptom and it turned out to be a browser add-on.
If you're using Firefox, then
If you're using IE, then
If one of the names seems odd, then go ahead and see if it is listed as one of your system's installed programs.
If you're using Firefox, then
- open up the "Tools" menu
- click on "Add-ons".
- Post what is listed under the "Extensions" and "Plugins" tabs.
If you're using IE, then
- open up the "Tools" menu
- click on "Manage Add-ons".
- Post the name and publisher of each add-on.
If one of the names seems odd, then go ahead and see if it is listed as one of your system's installed programs.
