Yellow ! beside Multimedia Audio Controller

I have a Realtek AC '97 onboard audio device and at first, my sound went out and the device manager said there was nothing wrong. I then completely uninstalled the driver, and tried to force the driver install with no success. It kept saying "This device can not start (code 10)". I then completely uninstalled the driver and went into my device manager only to find a yellow exclamation point beside Multimedia Audio Controller.

I have no clue what a Multimedia Audio Controller is, or how to fix it.

Go to the MSI (MicroStar International) support website and download and install the Audio driver for your motherboards model number. If this fails, you might have to invest in a PCI sound card...

okay, that sounds good.

i just didn't want to go buy a sound card without knowing that it would fix it.

Also, is there any sound cards that you would recommend?

Im looking for reliability, not the best sound.
