Your computer is infected message

  1. Hi.
I recently got a virus on my computer
that keeps on popping up a system message saying that my computer is infected.
It recommends me to install an antispyware program and links me to a download
site for a program called PC Antispy.

I used many virus programs and registry fixes so now the popup doesn't link to anything, but I still can't get rid of the popup itself.
It stays in the system tray as a red button with a white cross and pops up the warnng message every 5 minutes.

    Please help me fix this.

This will be the beginning to assist to rid your OS of the virus.
You may be tempted to bypass some of the processes.
    I would resist the temptation.

I don't see that Malware bytes has been run. Neither has SuperAntispyware and HijackThis.

Please follow the instructions in the referenced site:
Then attach the logs as instructed.
Attaching the logs from the programs allows us to see what's on the system. Only then can we assist you.
