Your CPU temps

    I got my load temp after playing battlefield 2 for about six hours straight with my friends.

    On all high settings expect for anti-alasing with was at 2x and dynamic light with was at medium, with adaptive anti-alasing at performence.

    basically you extract all files into a folder, then run orthos.exe, select small fft's as the test, and then click start. Run for a couple minutes and you'll see your temps rise until they peak. Also realize that orthos is primarily used for stress testing overclocks. If your computer can run orhtos for 6 or more hours without warnings or errors your system is stable.

    Is the test only for dual cores though, I only have a single.

    Wow. And I bought a fan controller because the noise coming from my 23dB fans are keeping me awake. And now, I'm thinking of getting a new case with a front lid because the lights coming from my fan controller is keeping me awake....

    And for Stick'o ram's temps, I'm leaving it on the list for the next couple of days till its updated. BF2 temps aren't really the hottest it'll go. As for Orthos, you'll have to run it, and leave it on for a few minutes before reading the temps.

    I ran orthos for a full ten minutes and I got a new high: 90 degrees (f), or approx. 32 degrees (c). I ran it on cpu stress.

    Remeber my cpu is based on the newer 90nm core (Venice) instead of its ancestor Newcastle and Clawhammer which were 130nm and the cpu is still the same size meaning that it has more room.

    Having the newer core means they can fit more stuff in the same space, but it doesn't mean that it would produce less heat. The reason miniturization usually produce less heat is because they can reduce the number of volts going through it, but since they usually pack more stuff into it anyway, requiring more volts, this advantage is moot.

    Its akin to drawing a picture with a blunt 8B pencil, and then drawing the exact same picture with a sharp HB pencil. If you don't add any details, its the exact same picture.

    Anyway, I've updated the load temps. I'll accept that your load is 32C, there's really no point in lying anyway. Just get back if you ever notice it getting any higher for any reason, the idea of this thread is to note the highest possible temps reached with those settings.

    Got myself a new CPU and HSF

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ @ 3066Mhz x2/Coolermaster Hyper TX/1.4/38c/48c

    *edit* manged to get the voltage back to stock (1.4v)

    *edit* due to stablity issues had to change the CPU frenquancy

    Got a secound rig up and running it use my old AM2 3800+ singe core that I got to 2.75GHZ, here what ive got it at atm

    Athlon AM2 3800+ @ 2.64 GHZ/Stock cooler off a Athlon AM2 5600+ x2/1.35v/39c/45c

    I would of put it straight to 2.75ghz but I cant change the vcore :(

    Might have a bit of a play and see if I can get it to 2.7ghz, tonight

    Here is mine, note CPU is at 2.66ghz, and I have sub 20$ TMG i1 cooler, but it is badass and is now like 30.

    P4 478 Prescott @ 2.8Ghz. Idle temp 20-22C depending on ambient, 29C at max load. Cooled using a Thermaltake BigTyp 120 VX with 120mm fan. 2 Case fans. Can run at up to 3.4Ghz but not very stable because mobo is no good for OC, temp at load is still 29C when at 3.4Ghz.

    Temp3: 25C
    HD0:30C
    HD1:31C
    Temp1: 40C
    Core 0: 18C
    Core 1: 18C
    Core 2: 18c

    Readings from PC Probe that comes with my mobo reads that
    MB :43C
    CPU: 33c(lowest is 31C/highest reach is 41C(No AC, window opens and it was noon and windless))

    I don't know if Everest is accurate but here it says

    GPU 56C
    First HD 30C
    Second HD 31C
