Zone Alarm Question

When I go into the "Program Control" section of Zone Alarm, there is a long list of programs, ranging from various .exe files to Windows Service Packs to setup files.

Can I/ Should I be deleting these files off the list? If so, which ones? Will deleting them have any effect, positive or negative, on my computer (ex. run faster? )

Let Zone Alarm decide.The best way is to follow the guide, then use High or medium, with the lock on if you are to be away from the machine.
The effect from leaving them alone on your system is negligible.

as far as i know deleting things from that list won't take them off your pc, just off the list. all the program control list is for is for you to set what sort of access your applications have to the internet. when you get the pop ups asking you if you want to allow a program to use the internet, if you click remember this setting (can't remember if that's exactly what it says ) then it puts a tick in the program control section

hope you can understand all that cos it's a bit messy
