Many IT jobs to go in next four years

It could very well be the case that a number of IT departments will shrink in the future, according to a recent forecast by Gartner. Its possible that, by 2008, there will be dramatic changes in many IT departments, because of outsourcing and a focus on business processes. Major cutbacks are likely on their way; many jobs will be axed over the next four years. By 2008,at least 60 percent of IT organizations will reduce their in-house workforce by at least 50 percent compared to 2000, according to the Gartner report.
