DVD Burners have had a long way growing towards maturity, and after reviewing these three heavy hitters, I have to say the technology has almost been perfected. Not only these will support both kinds of media and burn them at 16x speeds, but also support dual layer media, which means you can store up to 8 gigabytes of information in one disk.

Today we bring you our third DVD Burner round-up, this time around we put to the test three of the most acclaimed 16x drives currently available in the market: Plextor's PX-716A, NEC's ND-3520A and LG's GSA-4163B.

Key features were left out about the plextor drive;GigaRec, SecuRec, PoweRec, VariRec, Silent Mode, AutoStrategy and Q-Check technologies. All the replication features of the Plextor premium CD-RW drive built into the hardware, not software. When running any test with this drive it is recommended you have the PlexTools Professional (version 2.21) running when doing any tests with any other softwaredue to root h/w support this gives. There is almost no brand of media this drive will not write well to, all be it ajusted speeds and w/ PlexTools this drive can be trained to write to problematic media. Now , I am a fan of this drive, but after looking at multipule reviews, I do see much has been left out.[url]hxxp://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=2
