Via's StrongBox Really Is

Earlier this week I reported on Via's new StrongBox and their offer of a $5000 reward to anyone who could defeat the new technology at the “Hack In The Box” summit. No one was able to claim the prize, however, and Via has now got a bit of a smug look as they show off their hardware-based encryption and protection device, aimed to be affordable to both users and businesses and yet have encryption meeting various government agencies requirements. The contestants were given as much time as they wanted, but it could not be done in the time the summit ran. Not to say this is foolproof, but it is an impressive technology nevertheless.
