EA have cut the prices of their "The Godfather" and "Black" Xbox 360 games. The price cuts amount to 20%, so that both games can be pre-ordered for $39.95 in the US. There are no details on UK pricing at this time. An EA spokesperson has said that there are indications that $39 is a solid and sustainable price point. Whether this move will force other publishers to cut their prices as well remains unclear.

"Black" is due February 28 and "The Godfather" is pencilled in for release on March 21. With both games expected to achieve high sales, Electronic Arts have took a step in the right direction. Let's hope the rest follow their lead.
