Two new processors are being added to the ranks of AMD's mobile lineup. As part of its longevity program for embedded products, they are introducing two new low power models, one Sempron and one Turion. The new CPUs will be based off the Sempron 3500+ and the Turion 64 X2 ML-52. While neither CPU brings any new features or higher clock speeds to the table, it gives integrators and notebook manufacturers another tool to expand their own lines with. In particular, AMD is aiming at thin clients and "single board computing" markets. With the increased push for virtualization from both AMD and Intel, thin clients may see a surge in popularity over the next few years.
