Nokia remains number one worldwide for mobiles

Despite their recent touch with exploding batteries (ok, “dislodging” batteries), Nokia has nothing but good news to say about their company as a whole. Amidst high sales and good growth, particularly in Asian countries, Nokia has remained the number one mobile phone dealer worldwide.

They are followed by Motorola and Samsung, with Samsung taking the number two spot for sales. There has been some reaction to the release of the iPhone, despite many companies saying they are not worried about it as a competitor. There is a bit of backtracking on that now, saying that Apple's release did steal a bit of glory from other companies, but that it is too early to tell if it will make a significant impact on sales worldwide.
