Eee PC faces shipment delays
Asus's Eee PC line has proven to be incredibly popular. So popular, in fact, that despite initial estimates of doom and gloom it has inspired many Asus competitors to build their own variant of the sub-laptop.
All that popularity might be working somewhat against them, with NAND Flash and battery shortages delaying shipments. Asustek is not worried about the shortage of flash, claiming that the short supply of batteries is a more pressing concern but not enough to delay the units by more than 2 weeks. It's mentioned that Asustek might be slowing down shipments intentionally to lower risk, though ultimately all this is just more evidence to the popularity and success of the Eee PC series.
