Google adds Street View to Google Maps for mobiles
Google has broadened the scope of Google Street, now releasing a version of it that will function on mobile devices. It is coupled with the existing Google Maps for mobile devices, which itself received a performance boost with the most recent upgrade on top of the inclusion of Street View.
You can easily see where this is heading. Google Maps combined with Street View could turn any mobile into a very handy navigation device – step by step instructions on top of visual instructions on finding your way. Add GPS functionality down the road and you can turn any capable mobile device into something that can compete with a wide variety of existing hardware. Seems like a very easy way for Android to gain ground once it is released.
