In addition to Blockbuster announcing significant changes to their service, Netflix also took the time today to update the world on their status. The company is integrating their service into Facebook, using the social networking site's infrastructure as a way to get people talking about movies they've rented. It's not exactly a huge boon to their service, but is a small addition that people who use Facebook and Netflix might like.

Netflix envisions the update as a way for people to rate films, write reviews or make suggestions to other people. The video rental firm has their own user rating and review system on their site, but having something directly on a Facebook page would be more accessible to users. Not to mention, it's a covert way of getting word of mouth advertising.
