Amazon launches Xbox Live store

Buying stuff from Xbox Live using its point-based system can sometimes be a annoying experience. Not only you need to make a conversion from Microsoft's fictional currency just to figure out how much you are paying, but often times you end up with leftover points that are completely useless unless you buy extra points to afford another game. Well, now there is a way to buy games directly from Amazon.com for their actual cost.

The giant online retailer has launched its own Xbox Live store, where customers can use straight up cash instead of those pesky points to purchase download codes for any particular XBLA game. Those who actually like the current system can also buy Microsoft Points and Gold Subscriptions for themselves or as a gift to other people. The site is live now – in beta form – and available solely to U.S. gamers at this moment.

Finally, no longer have to deal with points. That's great! I love Amazon's digital stores, such as downloadable games, digital software delivery, and its awesome DRM-free MP3 stores. Its Kindle and ebooks need no introduction. It's helpful they are streamlining Xbox live/games too.
