The holiday season is fast approaching and chances are some of you are already scrambling to find the perfect gift for that special person in your life -- including yourselves, of course. As usual, we’ll have our annual holiday gift guide ready in the next few days to ease the process, but in the meantime how about we pick your collective brain for some ideas we might be overlooking?
This week we’d like to hear about what’s on your personal Christmas wish list -- whether that’s an upgrade for your trustworthy desktop, a brand new tablet, or any other of today's coolest gadgets and electronics. If expensive gift giving is not on your agenda we’d still love to know about any special plans you have for the festivities.
I can’t say I have set my mind on a particular item but perhaps I'll get an audio receiver or a Boxee-like media streamer for the new place I just moved into.
Just the Dark Knight Trilogy and some "upgrades" for both notebook (4 GB more of RAM) and desktop (from C2D to C2Q for only $30 through a friend who's selling his PC). Has been a hard year, hopefully for next Christmas will be better with me working as intern at Intel [doing right now my best and crossing fingers to achieve that].
I wish you all the best mate! ![]()
A Fluval G6 aquarium filter or a Digital Aquatics Lifeguard wifi aquarium monitor.
At the moment, I would like the Nexus 4. We'll see, though. That could change depending on the reviews.
A 32-gb micro SD card
I'd like a nice IPS display.
I want a Shigeru Kawai instead.
Me too!
I also want a Samsung 9 series 15 inch.
A lg nexus 4 phone since we don't have google play here in philippines ![]()
To dcnc123 : what have you been smoking?
google play is available even in android 2.3 (gingerbread).
it is present in my samsung galaxy y gt5360 ( android gingerbread 2.3.6).

my wish:
a 3-4" cheap smartphone running ics or later.
I think he means that the hardware store part of Google Play isn't available there, and therefore he can't buy a Google Nexus 4, and would need to buy an LG model instead.
£13 on amazon ![]()
For ibabies that live in their moms basement to stop crying about everything apple....
^For that guy's wish to come true. Tired of hearing every iDevice user acting childish. Someone said "iPad and iPad mini" Is that so you can play the piano like in the commercial? There goes $1,000+ down the drain.
Three bedrooms & three cars were destroyed at my house thanks to Sandy...I would like a bed to sleep on.
...actually, it's probably better to buy an iPad, iPhone, iPod, & Mac Book. Since they're the best thing ever and I like to waste money instead of getting something cheaper, I'm too cool to actually be giving money to those who actually need it. Right? (n)
I would like to upgrade my main gaming computer. Its about 6yrs old and starting to feel its age, mostly in the lacking of ram (2 gigs DDR2). With DDR2 ram being so expensive compared to DDR3 I'm having trouble bringing myself to buy more ram for it.
But sadly I don't foresee either one in my budget.
What I think I will end up getting is a new cell phone. Maybe get into the Smart Phone age finally (and put away my aging Razr). I'm done with my contract mid December, and I'm going pre-pay after that.
@ET3D yeah I mean the google playstore hardware part...
nexus products here are too expensive....
and doesn't have warranty...
Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward all.
Nexus 7 32G and iPod touch 5th Gen
Probably a renewal for my Xbox Live membership and a new Nvidia graphics card for my PC.
Not really expecting Santa to burst through the chimney as we have none, but I'l like:
A high-capacity SSD.
Or a new Ivy-loaded motherboard with an i5.
A Kill-A-Watt meter... maybe a pair of these [link] though I really need a pair of closed/over ear headphones because my current cans are driving my wife crazy.
