Amazon is offering up 11 paid apps completely free of charge today only in celebration of the one year anniversary of Europe’s version of the Amazon Appstore. Up for grabs are nearly $40 worth of apps and games to those in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the US and the UK.
The promotion is part of Amazon’s daily freebie where they make one paid app available for free each day. The free apps sometimes aren’t the best but every now and again, you may stumble across a diamond in the rough. The 10 apps available today are considered to be the ‘greatest hits’ collection.
The apps available today are as follows, in no particular order: PAC-MAN HD (Kindle Tablet Edition), Sprinkle, Angry Birds (Ad-Free), CalenGoo, Shazam Encore, SwiftKey, Jamie’s 20 Minute Meals, Paper Camera, World of Goo and Drawing Pad. These are in addition to today's daily feebie, Cut the Rope.
Odds are that you may already have some of these apps installed on your Android device like Angry Birds but others are still worth checking out. Jamie’s 20 Minute Meals is said to be an excellent resource if you’re looking to make a quick and easy meal. World of Goo is a structure building game of sorts that that I can attest to being a real time-killer and SwiftKey is one of the most popular alternate keyboards available on the Android platform.
