We got our first look at screenwriter Aaron Sorkin's biopic of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs back in May. Today, Universal Pictures released an extended trailer that focuses more on Jobs' relationship (or lack of) with his daughter than the iconic keynote speeches the film is structured around.

The flick, based on the best-selling albeit controversial biography by Walter Isaacson, is directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting, 127 Hours). It stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs alongside co-stars Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels and Seth Rogan.

It's set backstage at three of Jobs' product launches, concluding with the unveiling of the iMac in 1998.

Steve Jobs is slated to land in theaters on October 9, 2015.
