Benchmarks: Crysis Warhead, Enemy Territory Quake Wars



In our action packed test of Crysis Warhead the Radeon HD 5870 had an average frame rate of 29fps at 2560x1600, which is topped only by the dual-GPU GeForce GTX 295 with 38fps. The Radeon HD 4870 and 4890 were again slower than Nvidia's GeForce GTX 260 graphics card.

The Radeon HD 5870 was 12% and 16% faster than the Radeon HD 4870 X2 GeForce GTX 285, respectively, but as much as 24% slower than Nvidia's GTX 295.



Enemy Territory: Quake Wars favors the ATI Radeon graphics cards in a big way. While the Radeon HD 4870 X2 has been a long time champion of this test, the dual-GPU graphics card has been pushed back into second place by the new Radeon HD 5870. The card produced 106fps at 2560x1600, making it 7% faster than the Radeon HD 4870 X2 and a staggering 74% faster than the Radeon HD 4870.
