Benchmarks: High Quality Gaming
Performance margins did not change a great deal when testing Unreal Tournament 3 using high quality in-game graphics. The Phenom X3 8750 (2.4GHz) is just 5fps slower than the Phenom X4 9750 (2.4GHz) processor.
Turning up the visual quality in Crysis reduced the performance margin that the E8400 held over the rest of CPUs, though it still remained on top. The Phenom X3 continued to scale well, producing very similar performance to the X4 series at similar clock speeds.
Finally, in Supreme Commander the Phenom X3 processors performed quite well, dropping just a few frames per second behind their quad-core versions.
