Hi Chaps,
I keep getting a blue screen error, only seems to happen when I sychronise my PDA (AXIM X51) in windows media player (11). I'm using activsync 4.1 on windows XP. I always get

bad pool cluster

0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000cd4

but the last two strings vary

0x02060001, 0x85ded60)

0x0206000d, 0x857A2760)

0x02060001, 0x85DED60)

0x02060006, 0x859149C0)

Any advice on this would be valued.

With thanks.

have you tried to find an updated software for the activesync?

Yes, I'm on 4.5 at present still getting crashes though, zonealarm is under suspicion at present, might try uninstalling

Zonealarm is known to crash with bugcheck C2. You will need to uninstall it to know for sure.

Zonealarm has gone and so have the blue screens, looks like I'm sorted, thanks for input.

Hi, I'm getting the following error about once a day:
stop: 0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000cd4, 0x02060001, 0xfe4a9e30)
Dell Optiplex 745 Windows XP
I am using Zone Alarm. Could this be my problem?
What's a good replacement for it?
Any suggestions for a fix?
Thanx,
Mike

[QUOTE=mike10538]Hi, I'm getting the following error about once a day:

Looks pretty familiar to me, not sure when your crashes occur, mine were when I was synchronising my PDA with media player, never any other time. Are your blescreens random.

Might be, looks like there is a history of blue screens associated with zonealarm if you search a little deeper.

What's a good replacement for it?

I've just stuck with the windows firewall without any issues so far.

Any suggestions for a fix?

Try getting the latest version installed, if that doesn't help (didn't in my case), uninstall zonealarm to really nail down the problem.
Good luck

Thanks parawaiting. The stop errors are random, never as a result of anything in particular. I may unistall zonealarm & see what happens.

Mike
