I can see a pattern emerging here.

It seems Mr.Arris that you have been living 2 lives, in one life your a respectable computer analyst, and in the other your a hardcore heroin addict hell bent on getting his next fix...

...one of these lives has a future...and the other does not :)

So your saying I should focus on the heroin, right?

One on my friends is a pharmacist and is currently working in one of the less pleasant areas of Aberdeen handing out methadone to 50 to 70 people a day. And the stories I've heard about these people really puts me off ever getting involved in drugs. They have a secure booth for supplying the "clients" with their drug which most have to take on the premises.

Wow, I just saw a cheap Matrix rip off! Hahaha Mr. Arris, and Arris what's it like in Scotland? One of my friends is from there (ancestors) and has never been there.

You know I was asking myself this question recently.

I've been listening to pieces of music that I really like to try to decide. I don't know.

Kenya Gruv - Top of the World

But that was way back when I was in high school. Everytime I hear that song it reminds me of Might and Magic V for the PC - since I left the song on repeat for about a hundred hours while I played that game.

Great choices, we used to play One for Greek Sing and it was awesome. Ever since then it has been my favorite song.

Now I have a lot more favorites that aren't too board friendly.

Also Live is a good band.

Too many to mention, but ones that spring to mind currently are ...

Scorpions: Rock you like a Hurricane
Dire Straights: Sultans of Swing
AC/DC: Back in Black
Tom Petty: Refugee

There are hundreds more I could mention, but those are some that currently spring to mind. My musical tastes are pretty diverse, though you might not think so by looking at the above :=). That's just a small sampling.

I saw Frank Black live at the Grosvenor in '95 or so.

Did an awesome version of "Pong"

I love the music, don't know all that much about the band.
Didn't Black Francis announce the breakup over the radio, before the rest of the band knew anything about it ???

I can feel a Google search coming on...

"One fine day in my odd past..."

Since I'm late to the thread.. I'd have to say Paul Simon would be the favorite artist.

Rank1's Airwave would be my fave song. Any mix, probably my Midnight mix best, but it's a damn good one.

Although, I do highly repect many of the other choices in this thread (Dire Straights I saw mentioned earlier, the whole Brothers in Arms album is worthy of mention.)

i'm seeing lots of good stuff on these posts...
as one could gather, my all time favorite band is led zeppelin. my favorite lz songs are:
the battle of evermore (incidentally listening to it right now in fact), since i've been loving you, in my time of dying, achilles last stand.

i'm also a huge hendrix fan, he's amazing (right up there with jimmy page). but i also love black sabbath, acdc, iron maiden, NIN, pink floyd, ZZ top, primus, cream, the doors, john lee hooker. (i feel like i'm leaving some stuff out here)

my band (we're a rock-type) has covered a few acdc, iron maiden, metallica songs.

im a serious bass player/musician could go on for days here...

I`d never have guessed that you were a zep fan Zephead lol

I like led zep as well, favourite album, The song remains the same.

I also like, Deep Purple/Black Sabbath/Ac-Dc/Marillion/Yes/ELP/Pink Floyd/Mostly Autumn/Disturbed/Megadeth/Porcupine Tree/Fear factory/Golden earring/Slayer.

I could go on and on, but I wont lol

As for my favourite song, now that is difficult. I suppose if I was pressed I`d have to say Child in time by Deep Purple.

Regards Howard :) :)

My all-time fave must be She's a Rainbow by the Rolling Stones.

Bands include Moody Blues and Creedence Clearwater Revival
(shows you my age).

Given the choice though, I prefer Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and co.

ahh, you like TSRTS as well? i've got that dvd and HTWWW too. jimmy page is amazing, as are plant, bonham, jpj. perhaps my favorite thing about zeppelin, next to thier musical abilities, is the varietys of music they played.

i've always liked deep purple. i have 'made in japan' on vinyl in fact. i like ELP too. i forgot to mention my favorit ecurrent bands are radiohead, motley crue, and tool.

i'm also somewhat addicted to blues (and i'm from chicago why shouldn't i be?)
