hey! i just finished ordering parts for my new computer :) i was wondering how good this is for the money, and if overall its a good system.
the specs
evga 7800 gtx
amd 64 3500 venice processor
an abit an8 nforce 4 sli motherboard (sli ready for the future)
2x512 mb of ocz 2 latency 2-2-2-5 timing ram w/heatspreader in dual channel
a 500 watt smart power supply from antec
a tsunami dream case (black)
a veiwsonic g90f crt moniter
a 160 gb western digital hard drive
$1300 us dollars
i was also wondering if i should use the heatsink and fan that the processor comes with, or if i should by a different one. i dont plan on overclocking the processor right away, only when my games start playing bad (it would also void the warrenty of my processor).

the only weak spot I see is the power supply. Antec failed the Tom's hardware test.

what did you say was wrong with the power supply? 500 should be fine.

I don't think any games will start going bad for a while so I wouldn't overclock it just shortens the life of the processor.

ok, but i was still thinking of overclocking my video card, because oc ing it doesnt void the warrenty ^_^

Get a ViewSonic VP191b (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00009ETMA/qid=1125179570/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_unbuck_1/102-2545088-2412937?v=glance&s=electronics&n=541966) instead. It's a beauty & plays games perfectly.
