Anyone know a good freeware ogg player?

I have a huge CD collection that I'm about to start archiving, and I have read about the .ogg file system. I currently have Windows Media Player for ripping, Roxio Easy CD creator for burning, and that's about it.

Can anyone recommend a good player/ripper to use for the .ogg file system? I would preferably look for freeware/shareware, but will definitely pay for a program if it's worth the clams.

Foobar2000 is an excellent media player. It will play most file formats, including .ogg. You can get it HERE. (http://www.techspot.com/downloads/2258-foobar.html)

You might also want to look at Techspots Foobar2000 guide. (http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/foobar/)

All proper media players an play Ogg Vorbis. You can get a codec for WMP too.

CDex and several other CD-ripping programs support external encoders, including Ogg.

If you are archiving something, then you should consider some kind of lossless audio compression. FLAC is an excellent open source implementation.

What about Winamp? It plays almost all file formats, including OGG and video files. Plus, its free if u wanna play stuff only(u need a serial key to burn or rip cds at max speed). I have a keygen for the full version though ;)

I have a keygen for the full version though ;)Because with all its usefull features you don't believe it's worth rewarding the programmers behind it ?

I was just hunting around this morning for similar stuff and found this website.
Got some interesting apps here:http://www.share2.com/cdripper/

No. Why would I pay for a small program when I can use a keygen? Its not something like Windows XP or Adobe Photoshop(for which I did pay BTW) and I frankly don't care about the programmers. They make enough money by putting ads into the free version of WinAmp. Plus they're owned by AOL, who aren't exactly poor or worth trusting(or so I've heard).

That's a stupid attitude, of which we strongly disapprove here.
Any more remarks like that, and you'll be asked to look elsewhere in future.
