DRIVE_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL problem!

My computer has been crashing heaps for a few weeks now, a blue screen keeps turning up saying that i should remove new hardware and so on.

The technical info says:

HSFHWBS2.sys (http://www.file.net/process/hsfhwbs2.sys.html) is your modem driver. Temporarily disconnect the modem and see if the crashes continue. If they do, go HERE (http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic51365.html) and follow the troubleshooting instructions. If that still doesn`t help, post 5 or 6 of your latest minidumps for analysis.

its still the same =="" it keeps restarting out of no where and its getting really annoying

Not that I would argue with Howard, but experience tells me that the modem is kaput. Remove it and all the software associated with it and buy a new one as this will probably be quicker and a more reliable solution.
