Do I have a good gaming computer?

Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4 GHZ)
4 GB (4 x 1 GB) DDR2 PC2-6400
300 GB SATA HDD
GeForce 8800GT
Antec NeoPower 550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply.

Could I handle the latest games, such as Crysis?

Yes, you can handle Crysis. Your computer is close to being top of the line.

You can go to a website called www.systemrequirementslab.com and do the test yourself to see:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Click Crysis and run the test, Be aware that the tests aren't 100% accurate. Some times they over-exaggerate the end results or they are outdated to current patches that might add more optimization features.

Here's a guide on how to use the website and explains what it does:

Thats pretty much identical to my rig, which is awesome and can run pretty much everything at highest spec. Apart from crysis, but still runs the demo very well at medium/high settings

Yeh its decent. You can certainly run Crysis, but you won't be running it with everything on 'Very High'.

Was this a thinly veiled attempt at showing off or something? Those are your components that hopefully you picked out yourself, so you should have a good idea of how good or bad it is.

Yes that is an ideal build. I'm pretty sure it'll be able to take any current game (except Crysis) at max settings, including any other 2008 games.

That build is awesome! You will be able to play Crysis on High/Ultra @ 1680x1050 with about 25-30fps.
