Voltage Settings
I have a 2.4northwood Celeron running at 2.8 with FSB@115. Mem bus is @298mhz. I have had it to 3.0ghz with a 125mhz FSB, membus@333. it runs stable enough for me.
Now i know Voltage kills, with all temps under 55 degrees. would upping the DDR voltage say to 2.6 or 2.7 and raise the Core to 2.55v would that give me more performance or jus more heat?? i would think it would but i dont want to fry my memery and cpu. btw i have coolers on my mem. |

Increasing voltage does not affect performance in any way, it just generates more heat.

CheezHead, raising the vcore will raise temps and gain you almost nothing in performance, but I have found that when OC'ing, that raising the vdimm is necessary to make the system stable. Plus, I've never seem raising the ram voltage cause a heat issue. Most of the better ram today can handle voltage over their rated specs...
