this D630 have 813 days of warranty left.
make negative feedback to your ebay merchant and get refund for that fake.
Your password should be hdue**LV (stars are digits)

try changing ownership with dell if u do not know the previous owner then state where u purchased it from ie, open air market, private seller and that u do not know their name
once ownership changed u can request a password
this may take up to 3 weeks but should solve ur problem

sayin that i have done this changed ownership and requested a password
and still the one dell gave me doesnt work!

but i ve good faith in dell and am awaiting a reply in response to my email hoping for a working password to be sent

i will let u know how things turn out on my next update

Free help here for Dell password removal : http://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html
This link includes many different alternatives ie DST CD; Contacting Dell; Shorting procedure; old masterpw; etc etc
If all options are tried and you still cannot resolve your password issue Google for other 3rd party option (this not being supported here)
TechSpot forums is free and manufacture support only

If no options work for you in that help link then your only option is to wait for someone to post a free password for you here, or try Google for some other 3rd party option

Well if you have Avira Free Antivirus installed, you should be ok
By the way when I searched I got as far as Russian Servers and still couldn't find it
Obviously it's some strange name, that's unrelated. But I am astounded at the small amount of people that have this. Obviously Dell being one of them

You can contact Dell here: Dell Support
Anyway, they should always be the first point of contact.

I wonder if I should ask my friends to post here, that way I'll look really good

Anyway, here's the help info for the members not getting free passwords

Free help here for Dell password removal : http://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html
This link includes many different alternatives ie DST CD; Contacting Dell; Shorting procedure; old masterpw; etc etc
If all options are tried and you still cannot resolve your password issue Google for other 3rd party option (this not being supported here)
TechSpot forums is free and manufacture support only

If no options work for you in that help link then your only option is to wait for someone to post a free password for you here, or try Google for some other 3rd party option

I notice that some members try to contact old members here. Be very clear that any payment option supplied (against TechSpots rules I might add) is the highest price you will find anywhere in the whole world. This includes links by members to another site, containing payment option.

Be smart, if you cannot be helped here, then go elsewhere (Google gives a few thousand hits, including eBay) A free tech forum is not the place to purchase anything

What are you talking about Steps?
You first posted 3 weeks ago Pretty sure Dell have been open during that time
Anyway who wants their laptop fixed on Easter day? Just wait for Tuesday (actually you can submit the change of ownership right now, support hasn't closed or anything

Every now and then a real member comes along and actually gets free help (usually by me I might add) I have successfully reduced the income to many spammers here and will continue to do so. Many months ago I asked if I could somehow acquire the generator (many options I gave) All I got back was stupid stuff, therefore I'll continue to stop any spammers here.

Anyone would have to be mad taking any payment option from a free tech forum (by link or otherwise)

Free help here for Dell password removal : http://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html
If it doesn't help, post once for last chance hope, then leave
Posting 5 times is ludicrous ! Unless you are somehow related to the spammers here.

HP Omnibook 6000 - Master Code?

Happy Eastern to all of you!!

I will summarize my problem - and if here is no solution for me, for sure
I will ask your friend

My omnibook 6000 had a user pw (known for me) and a admin pw (not known
for me) and i think a hdd pw (?)

I cleared the user pw in bios and so I was asked for admin pw (I didnīt know) before
booting

by help of hpgl I got the master pw for hash code - THANKS!

I can now enter bios - all pw are cleared

But it seems that my hdd (which definatelly worked before) is still pw protected!!
Am I right??

Please give me a hint for a possible solution, I donīt want to loose all my data
