BIOS password for nx9010

Dear Sirs,

A very good friend of mine received a secon hand laptop HP Compaq nx9010. I decided to configure, install and prepare the laptop for her, so she can use it. I tried to enter BIOS, but it's protected by an unknown password. I managed to contact up to two previous owners of the laptop, but unfortunately they didn't know about any password. Actually, none of these people knew what a BIOS is, to start with. LOL!

So I really would appreciate any help.

System Hash Code is 06013.

Thank you very much.

I would like to re-state to all New members, that there are FREE alternatives, than paying high costs.

Before deciding to accept any message on how you can pay to receive your passwords:
1. Read this entire thread (you are currently on) On many laptops, the passwords can be freely removed
2. Dell will supply you a password for under $40 only
3. Shop around. There are many pay for services out there, quite a few at eBay, and basically a Google search will find hundreds!

You have been informed

Also read my last post h e r e on free alternatives

Note I will continue to post this message on each page change here

Dell password authentication system

I just picked up a Dell inspiron 8000 at a garage sale for twenty bucks. Thought it would be great for my son. On booting I have the laptop asks for a password. This password authenication system is on an eprom chip and unaffected by removing the cmos battery. I heard there are utilites to generate a password or that the eprom can be shorted. Can you help? I saw in a posting there is pdf file for shorting the chip

Can someone help me with my bios start up password

Recently i brought a Toshiba Sattelite laptop for 20.00 bucks from a garage sale it seemed to be in good condition until i got it home. I realized when i turned it on why I got such a good price for it. It wouldn't boot completely because the bios password was on, and I nor the person who sold me the laptop had it. I tried everything but nothing worked. I was reading a post where someone was talking about a paper clip and the eprom. Could someone please instruct me on how to use a paper clip to clear that password it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How is this HDD lock working ?

I have a Dell 430 which I have the master password for but the HDD is locked. I got the master password for that also but it will not open it.
Is it so that the HDD password uses the BIOS password also ?
