If your service tag ends with *-595B & laptop boots from CD then you can easily fix it with the DST method.

I'm getting a bit sick of informing Moderators to ban members on this thread
Obviously the post made by karlosti (Note: Member Now Removed) above is stupid immaturity And all the posts saying try this 3rd party option or this email address seems to be not getting through to new members and their posts. Julio has already stated that this posting is not allowed, but members continue to do so (and then the posts get removed, and so on...) As this only happens in this thread then I wonder how useful this thread is to others. ie Dell supply passwords for $39 HP I believe is free (just contact support) Other manufactures probably similar Anyone outside warranty just need to register with the manufacturer The PaperClip method had been posted a few hundred times All information that can actually help all, is already posted There's nothing else to post (other than hpgl or any other good semaritan (spelling?) who wants to help, every so often, ie not much !!!) Why have this thread again? Last edited by kimsland; 08-16-2008 at 03:19 AM.. Reason: Noted member (karloser!) now removed |

try again:
start notebook and press F2 to try to enter into BIOS setup. At password prompt press F12. If you get the same hash as 13141, type in password 1215393 If you get another hash, post it here. |

Hash Code 02501
I have a problem with Omnibook Xe3. The Hash Code is 02501. I can't access the bios as the PW was changed and forgotten by one of my daughters. After 3 attempts it closes down and is now locked up. The laptop was given to me by my ex and I have no contact with him, will HP let me register and get it from them? Any ideas as we have no clue of what to do!
Thank you for being here x |

Hi everyone. I've checked all over the board but cant find any reference to Dell Inspiron 6000. Though I tried the Paperclip Method and now I get "Invalid System Configuration. Please Enter Setup." I cant boot from a cd-rom (dst-iso) nor use F2/F12. Please advice.

According to member Obi
At post: http://www.techspot.com/vb/post651742-105.html The Inspiron 6000 can be unlocked by Paperclip method Sometimes you need to persist a bit (I've read) Unless you are just talking about Fn X |

Dell Latitude D630
I know I asked for the BIOS system password from this D630 (46TD1G1-595B
) I'm working on, however I forgot to add, that if anyone can provide me with the location of the chip to short, I am MORE than willing to use the paperclip method, but after spending 1 1/2 hours with a magnifying glass, I was unable to find the chip to short. |

Dell 6400 E1505
What is the exact story with the Dell 6400 E1505? I read that the paper clip method can be done, but then i also read there is no EEPRom? What is actually going on, is there an EEProm, if so where is it? and if there is no EEprom how do i clear the service tag? it is the grey screen boot order is locked and it is a 595B. I need to make sure i have all the 411 before i open this thing and up with extra parts.

Great Obi. Your method works very well. But now i have to search through the forum for the harddisk password.
I will post any positive/negative results soon. |
