Irql-not-less-or-equal stop message

i am getting the above message followed by:
stop:0x0000000A
(0xFF1701F0,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x804D9B64)

the message also indicates i need to disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

i have read some messages in this forum and tried to do the windiag, but have had no luck getting it downloaded on a cd and using it

if you could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

Could you upload the MiniDumps which would have been recorded when these BSOD's occurred. This helps because the 0xA error is very General it can be caused by Faulty Hardware, Buggy Software or Bad Device Drivers.

I'm having similar problem. Problem occurred a couple of days ago. As windows starts I get the blue screen with the IRQL message and error code 0x00000000A (0XFF1711F2, 0X000000002, 0X00000000, 0X804D9B64).

I tried safe mode but I get this blue screen: (no IRQL message just...) 0x0000007B (0XF7996528, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

This is a laptop running windows XP pro sp3. No new hardware was installed. Please help!

Thanks.

You could upload the MiniDumps on here and I will look at them for you or use Windows Debugging Tools and try to read them if you want.

All 5 minidumps point to w22n51.sys which is an Intel Wireless LAN Driver/Intel Wireless LAN Adapter.

Update your wireless driver.

I had a similar problem not long ago, the BSOD and minidumps listed the problem as a driver, ndis.sys to be precise, but that was not the problem, it was a hard drive failing. So keep that in mind. If you continue to see problems after you update your driver, post back here.
cheers

Thanks for going through them Route

Hynesy I just had a look at 1 of the MiniDumps it lists a 0xD1 which is normally caused by Device Drivers or possibly RAM, but from the 1 I looked at the Driver looked to be the Cause because it's Address was mentioned in both Memory Referenced Parameters being the 1st and 4th Parameters.

We will see if that Clears the Problem, otherwise the search will continue.

Same 0xD1 error and the same driver cited in both. Try this: Completely uninstall your wireless and reinstall with updated drivers. keep us updated.

You could use Driver Cleaner Pro to remove those Drivers fully and then install the Latest Version of Driver, as Route said.
