Vista 64-bit framerate problem w/ cs 1.6
hey i have a buddy having low framerate problems with counter-strike 1.6. the video card is a geforce 7 series. its a HP Pavilion a6554f - Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz with Vista 64-bit OS. he said he's tried every setting on counter-strike properties about changing compatibility with the different OS to try and run CS (the pic should be attached). if anyone knows why he is getting 20-30fps please inform that would be awesome

Im not sure about 1.6...
I have counterstrike source. With my old pentium 4 and a nvidia 7600 gs and x32 windows i got an average of 150 fps, However with my new quad phenom and a bfg gtx 275 and x64 bit vista i get a crappy 58!! I think its one of the many "hidden benefits" of using x64 vista!!
