have a packard bell from a friend did a reformat with win 98 se gigabyute mobo GA-6WMM7 ymf744 on board sound cannot get drivers to work any ideas will be appreciated.

You could try here (it is a Yamaha soundchip on your mobo) http://www.driverscollection.com/?file_id=1135 Driver is for NT but will probably also work on XP |

also the drivers page for your mobo at Gigabyte...
http://tw.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/..._GA-6WMMC7.htm although, installing drivers in Win98 can be difficult if it chooses to be non-cooperative. It's been too long since I dealt with Win98 to get more specific about battling OS vs. Drivers issues. |
